Vision/Mandate:

The recent funding of BitDAO Improvement proposals (BIPs) like Game7 and EduDAO have made clear the impact BitDAO can have in the DAO ecosystem. As BitDAO continues to grow its AE ecosystem, more people will pour into the community channels with questions and ideas. This influx of interest will undoubtedly attract new contributors with valuable skillsets and perspectives. Directing this raw energy to bring innovation to the world of BitDAO and AEs will require the presence of a supportive community with a passion for revolutionizing the way DAOs operate. Æmbassy is the community base layer for the BitDAO ecosystem.

Æmbassy is here to reinforce BitDAO’s mission “To support builders of the decentralized economy, and showcase the potential of DAOs.” by Driving community initiatives in the BitDAO and AE ecosystem. Æmbassy is positioned to serve as an incubator for creative individuals and teams looking to innovate within the DAO space

To this end, we propose a focus towards these three pillars of community:

Though there are specific tasks for each pillar, together they serve to support the BitDAO and Æmbassy communities as a whole.

Onboarding

As the Æmbassy community has grown over the last quarter, we have witnessed bottlenecks in our onboarding process. In order to grow a vibrant community of quality contributors, we must break down any unnecessary barrier to entry. At present, we do not compensate our contributors with real world value. Establishing the necessary processes and implementing the tools needed to begin paying those who add value back into the network is a top priority. Creating guaranteed pathways to compensation will also attract skilled individuals that can help us drive projects to completion.

Æmbassy will act as a funnel for contributions to the broader BitDAO ecosystem as well. For us, onboarding means more than simply increasing the number of members in the Discord server. Onboarding encompasses all processes essential to begin contributing as an active member for the broader BitDAO community. In addition to building a robust yet simple onboarding process for Æmbassy, we would like to:

Education

Education is built into each of our initiatives, and serves as the foundation on which our ‘three pillars of community engagement’ stand. At the core of Æmbassy lies the knowledge and skill sets of our contributors, and together we explore educational materials that inform the decisions we make when working with DAOs and in Web3 more generally.

We propose Æmbassy to be one of the core contributors of educational material related to BitDAO and affiliated AE's. These materials could include videos, blog posts, documentation, live demos, tool training, AMA's, Twitter threads, weekly updates, and memes, among other content and tools. We expect these utilities and materials will culminate in a DAO Tooling Help Desk  intended to serve AEs who request assistance in building out their organizations. These tools and materials will also serve the broader Web3 DAO community.

Through our educational efforts we will help define core functions of BitDAO including building multiple frameworks for proposal writing.

Providing Assistance to AE's by building out documentation and creating educational material that will help community members understand their products, processes and development roadmaps is a core function we can serve. Fostering communications with teams building AE's will be a crucial step in achieving this goal.

Furthermore, this will serve to establish positive working relationships between Æmbassy and a growing network of talented contributors. It is our hope that this outreach will serve to build on the community’s desire to engage with the BitDAO ecosystem and further establish our role as trusted stewards within the community.
